Some Rules to Follow
1. Vehicles must travel at no more than 5 mph.
2. Park in designated areas only.
3. All horses must be properly saddled and bridled when being ridden.
4. Riders will conduct themselves in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
5. Riders are limited to owners and immediate family unless prior arrangements have been approved by management.
6. If you turn out your horse, you must remain on the grounds until it is back in its stall.
7. Horses are to wear lead shank and halter when being walked or grazed. Horses are never grazed, or out of their stalls, etc., unless the lead shank is in your hand.
8. Removal or drop-off of any equipment requires management’s prior approval.
9. Lesson students, beginning riders and young riders shall be given the right of way at all times.
10. Stall guards shall be closed unless the owner is working with the horse and immediately in front of the stall.
11. Young children and guests of boarders must be accompanied at all times in barn and riding areas.
12. Horses must be wormed at least four (4) times each year, and management shall be provided with written proof of such worming. Horses teeth must be checked at least twice each year.
13. Dogs are not allowed in the barn or riding areas and must be on a leash at all times if they are not contained in cars and/or carriers.
14. Boarders must obey posted hours of operation and cooperate with management to the best of their ability.
15. No outside instructors are permitted to teach within the Nassau Equestrian Center unless prior arrangements are made with management.
16. Safety hats must always be worn when riding.
